Beverly Ann Bell, 77, of Junction City, passed away on April 3, 2019 at Valley View Senior Life. Beverly was born May 4, 1941 to Zach Savage and Beomia Watson in Petersburg, VA. She grew up in the Troy, New York area. Throughout much of her life, Beverly was a single mother who worked to raise 3 children including Benford “Ben” Ray Bell, Jr., Patricia Ann Rogers, and Milton Ray Bell, Jr. Sadly, Milton passed away in 1974, Patricia in 2011, and Ben in 2015. Additionally, Beverly’s mother also passed away in 2016. Beverly was the primary caregiver for each member of her family through their individual illnesses. Beverly had a deep New York accent and was proud of her Bronx upbringing. While she might have looked tough on the outside she could not hide her wide smile and heart of gold. Although she did not have much monetarily, it was always more than enough to her and she rarely complained. Beverly could be fierce like a mother bear if someone she loved was hurting or in need. She was known to offer her couch to someone in need of a place to stay and often fed her fur babies (Leon, Luther, Precious, and Harley) before herself. Before moving to receive needed care for herself, Beverly had to know that her dogs were well cared for. Friends of Animals provided emergency care and foster placement for them and Beverly died with the peace of knowing that her animals were in loving homes. She wished that memorial contributions in her name be made to Friends of Animals. Thank you to Carlson Irving-Parkview for helping to complete arrangements to carry out Beverly’s final wish. Beverly’s cremains as well as those of her mother Beomia, daughter Patricia and son Ben will be transported to Hicksville, NY where they will be buried together with the cremains of son Milton.
