Carroll Lee Long, Sr., 73, of Manhattan, passed away Wednesday, July 11th, at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan. Carroll was born in Minneapolis, Kansas on November 5, 1938, a son of the late Alma Fanny (Bailey) and Kenneth Glen Long. He was former owner of A1 Fix All Manhattan. He enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, fishing, and yard work; was a former member of Delphos Kansas Lions Club and former Mayor in Delphos. Most importantly he was known as 'Mr. Fix-It' to his family and friends. Carroll was a graduate of the Ada High School - Class of 1956 and a member of First United Methodist Church in Manhattan. Carroll is survived by his long time companion, Judith Gugler of the home, two sons, Carroll Long, Jr and wife Megan of Salina, Curtis Long, and wife Andrea, of Clifton; other survivors include Tamara E. Morris, of Alaska; Martin L. Newman, of Texas; Marc A. Gugler, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, Cindy Wallis-Lage and Kent Lage, of Leawood; grandchildren Mitchell Long; Airika Long; Trent Long; Isabella Long; Ethan Long; Austin Lage; Madison Lage; Jackson Lage; a sister, Doris M. Davis, of Minneapolis, Kansas; two brothers, Dale Long and wife Louise of Columbus, IN; Ivan L. Long and wife Donna Long, of Beloit, Kansas. Carroll was preded by his parents and one son, Quinton Kenneth Long. The funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, in Manhattan, at 11:00am on Saturday, July 14th, with Rev. Troy Bowers officiating, with burial following at 3:00pm in the Ada Cemetery in Ada, KS. Friends are invited to call on Friday, July 13th from 1pm to 8pm at the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation, with the family present from from 6pm to 8pm. The family has requested donations to the First United Methodist Church, 612 Poyntz Manhattan.
