Charlene Catharine Beier Gormley 51, of Hutchinson Kansas went to meet her Lord on Saturday October 28, 2017 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Hospital. She had been residing at the Hutchinson Rehab Center for several years. Charlene was born January 3,1966 in Grand Island,Nebraska. Her parents were Marie C, Schlick Beier and Weldon Jerry Beier. She moved with her family to Manhattan Kansas in 1969 and attended Seven Dolors Catholic Grade School and graduated from Manhattan High School 1985. Shortly after graduating she married Fred Gormley the 'love of her life'. They were happily married 23 years before Charlene got very ill and had to go to a nursing home where she resided until her death. Charlene was a homemaker.She loved sewing,collecting dolls going to auctions and playing bingo. She was a lifetime member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW.She was very generous to her family and friends. She loved the lord and always had a rosary close. Charlene is survived by her husband Fred Gormley of Nolandville Texas and her siblings Pam Miller, Mike Beier(Margaret), Steve Beier (Lynn),Jean Roberts(Lynn) Manhattan, Kansas; Carolyn Beier-Wear, Bill Beier, Hutchinson, Kansas; Sherrie House(John) Madison, South Dakota and Trish Riley (Randy) Flower Mound,Texas and many nieces,nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 4,2017 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. The rosary will at 6:30pm on Friday, Nov.3, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Society in care of the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home.
