Charles Oshay Brown

December 11, 1980 — July 24, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Oshay Brown, age 43, on July 24, 2024. He was born in New Rochelle, New York, on December 11, 1980, to Janie Turner and Charles Brown.

Oshay began life with immediate challenges; he was born with three holes in his heart. Often told that he would not make it to his teenage years, he was determined to defy all odds and live life to the fullest. Always willing to lend a helping hand and cook you the best plate of food, he was always outgoing, and his personality could light up a room.

Charles was a man of integrity, and he always stood up for what was right. He was courageous and full of life. He loved his family and friends and would help anyone in a time of need.

Known for Making everyone laugh, he was the type of person with whom you couldn’t stay upset. Underneath all of his toughness, he was a teddy bear. He had a confidence that was unwavering. You couldn’t find a person who was more loyal. He had a golden heart; he just wanted his family and friends to win. He made an impact on everyone with whom he came into contact. His smile and big personality were contagious, and he will be missed dearly...

He is survived by his parents, Janie Turner and Kevin Turner; his two sons, Shiloh Brown and Cincere Sanders; and his daughter, Lanessia Neshay Brown. His sisters are Rayona Pryor, Tylesha Pryor, and Monique Brown; and his brothers are Qshawne Pryor and Kenneth Brown.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Essie Pryor, Willie and Gwendolyn Brown; his uncles, Kevin and Anthony Brown; and Carol Bracey; his aunts Cynthia Esau, Claudia Turner, Elaine and Delaine, Ethel Delores; and his uncle Leonard Mack.
