Chong Sim Tracey

July 7, 1957 — July 5, 2017

Chong Sim Tracey, 59, of Manhattan, passed to her eternal home on Wednesday, July 5th, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House. She was a Sales Associate at the Army Air Force Exchange Service in Europe and Ft. Riley for over 30 yrs. Chong was born in Seoul Korea, on July 7, 1957, the daughter of So Yo Hwang, of Korea and her father the late Ok Yon Cho. She was married to Vincent Tracey in Seoul, South Korea on Nov. 9, 1979. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. Chong was an avid animal lover all of her life and many survive Chong is survived her husband, Vincent of the home; and her mother; 2 brother's and a sister in Korea; 2 sister-In-laws, Cecelia A. Stoyer, and Jane L.Tracey-Vargas, brother-in-law Jeffrey L. and Megan Tracey all of Pennsylvania. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday, July 10th at the First Presbyterian Church, 801 Leavenworth St. with Rev. R. C. 'Cam' McConnell officiating. Chong will be viewed following the service. Chong's internment will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 11th at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Manhattan. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to the Kansas Masonic Cancer Research Institute or the T Russell Reitz Animal Shelter and may be sent to the funeral home in Chong's memory.
