David Scott Campbell, 49, of Manhattan, formerly of Mission, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 11th, at the Overland Park Regional Hospital. David was born in Kingston, New York on December 24, 1967, the son of Buddy F. and Susan E. (Scott) Campbell, of Saugerties, NY. In August of 2004 in Cork, Ireland he was united in marriage to Ellyn R. Mulcahy. David graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Economics. David is survived by his wife, Ellyn Mulcahy of the home; daughter, Ellyn Campbell; two sons Darragh and Donnacha Campbell all of Manhattan; his parents, Buddy F. and Susan E. (Scott) Campbell, of Saugerties, New York; a sister, Kristine Defoe and husband Carl, of New Paltz, New York; a brother, Matthew and wife Melissa Campbell of High Falls, New York. David is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pauline (Sundquist) and Harold Deutscher, and Hazel (Staley) and Gerald Campbell. On Saturday, February 18th at Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation, with the Campbell-Mulcahy family greeting friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the funeral home. A Service of Remembrance will begin at 10:00 am with Rev. Troy Bowers officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, 320 N 13th St, Wakeeney, KS 67672.
