Deborah Ann Pickrell, 49, of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 20th, at her home. Debbie was born in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois on March 23, 1964, daughter of John and Bonnie (Cravens) Pickrell. She had a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accounting from the University of New Mexico, worked as an Accountant at Kansas State University for 15 years in the Human Nutrition Extension Unit. Debbie loved to go on cruises and to travel. She visited many places with her family, and her favorites were Hawaii and Alaska where she loved to go whale watching. She was an avid shopper, reader, and movie watcher. She also loved sewing and going to country music concerts. She was loved and appreciated by her family, friends, and co-workers. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her parents, Bonnie and John Pickrell; brother, Greg Pickrell and wife April, of Friendswood, Texas; and niece, Kayla Wright. She was also survived by her two dogs Pandora and Peanut. At the family's request there will be no local services. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Illinois.
