Edith (Ede) P. Radenberg

Ede (Edith) Radenberg, 90, of Manhattan, KS, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018. She was born on July 7, 1928, in Frankfort, KS, the daughter of August and Paula (Stover) Suther. She attended a one-room country school, before graduating from Frankfort High School in 1945. She then attended Kansas State University. On June 21, 1949, she married the love of her life Marvin Radenberg. He passed away on April 4, 2008. She along with Marvin, brought Radio Shack to Manhattan, and owned and operated it from 1971 till 1996. Ede belonged to the Via Christi Hospital Auxillary Group and a Charter member of the Konza Praire Quilt Group. She loved to make quilts, especially for organizations like the Catholic Charites, and the Manhattan Crisis Center. She was also an avid reader and would read several books each week. Ede is survived by her two sons, Paul (Helen) Radenberg of Tarzana, California, Bill Radenberg of Manhattan, her daughter Susan (Stephen) Cain of Jasper, Georgia. Three Grandchildren, Kyle Radenberg of Tampa, Florida, Cameron Radenberg of Boston, Massachusetts, and Laina Radenberg of Manhattan, Kansas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 10:00 am at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Sunrise Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018, from 6:00 PM till 7:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7 PM, at Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home and Cremation.
