Henrietta Kimble, 93, of Manhattan, KS, passed away Monday, October 21st, at the Stonybrook Retirement Community in Manhattan. She worked as a baker for Kansas State University Derby Food Center retiring in 1986. Henrietta Hofmann was born in Vienna, Austria, on August 3, 1920, the daughter of the late Karl and Elisabeth (Kettner) Hofmann. She attended schools in Vienna as a child. On Sept. 18, 1952 in Linz, Austria she married Harlan B. Kimble, who died on Dec, 22, 1987. She was a member of Sedalia Community Church rural Manhattan, for many years. Henrietta is survived by a daughter, Inge Schneider and husband of Otto of Waidendorf, Austria; 2 grandchildren - Gudrun Schneider; Richard Schneider of Vienna, Austria, and a sister Elisabeth Dunzer, of Austria; At the family's request the casket is closed, but friends may sign the book prior to the service from 9:00am to 2:30pm, at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at the Ft. Riley Cemetery at 1:30pm prior to the service, on Thursday, October 24th, with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm, following the burial, at the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation, 1317 W. Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan.
