Jeffery Bernard Holiwell of Manhattan passed away on Tuesday, March 9th. Jeffery was born August 27, 1957, in Manhattan to the late Abraham and Marion (Baker) Holiwell. Jeffery graduated from the Manhattan schools in 1975. Following high school, he moved to Dallas, Texas, and worked for the Richardson School District. Mr. Holiwell returned to Manhattan and worked for Kansas State as a custodian, and for Prairie Cleaning Services. Jeffery loved walking when he was able to do so and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a huge sports enthusiast, specifically the Kansas City Chiefs. He was part of the 1974 Manhattan High School football team that won the 4A football championship and was a state wrestler in school as well. Jeffery is survived by life friend Jeanetta Cherenfant of Manhattan, Kansas; two sisters Josie Guliford of Garland, Texas and Susan Holiwell of Dallas, Texas; brothers Clyde (Janice) Holiwell of Topeka, Kansas, Dennis Holiwell of San Antonio, Texas; Rodney Holiwell of Anna, Texas, and Gary (Mary) Holiwell of Bedford, Texas. Jeffery is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Preceding him in death include his sister Patricia Mcquiller, and brothers Jerome and Kenneth. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home and Cremation.
