Laurie Ann Mathos, 65, of Manhattan, passed away Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022. She was the Quality Control Manager at the Alorica Call Center. Laurie was born in Oak Park, IL on October 20, 1956, the daughter of Robert Guelle, who survives in Jonesboro, Ark, and the late Ann (Grasse) Guelle. Laurie graduated from Oak Forrest High School in Oak Park, Illinois. She received a bachelor's degree and a Masters's degree in Human Resources from the American InterContinental University. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan and also served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1981. Laurie is survived by her father, Robert Guelle; daughter, Rhonda Lee Mathos, son-in-law Jason Hornbeck, of Manhattan; her son, Scott (daughter-in-law Tina) Mathos, of Edgerton, Kansas; also surviving is a brother, David (Jane) Guelle of Bradley Illinois; three grandchildren, Allie Mathos, Aaron Mathos, Ariana Hornbeck; and her cat Emmy (this cat was her baby who she adopted and loved). She was preceded by her mother, Ann Grasse Guelle, and her stepmother, Audrey Guelle. There will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
