Linda C Stebbins, 76, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. Linda was born in Eureka, Kansas on January 4, 1942, to Susan Irene (Penland) Jeffries and Melvin Macy Cammack. She married Carl Nicholas (Sam) Stebbins on August 15, 1981. Linda sang in the 1st Presbyterian Church Choir for 54 years. She was also the founder of , past director of, and arranger for the handbell choir at 1st Presbyterian Church. Loving community theater and singing, Linda was involved in many roles with the Junction City Little Theater for many years as well as being a member of the Notables, and the Keynotes. She worked as a bookkeeper for Weary Law Firm until she retired in 1999. The Rocky Mountains were always her solace and Linda spent many summers amidst their grandeur, often on the back of a Harley. Linda loved to watch KC Chiefs football and was also a huge KU basketball fan. She was known to bang the table so hard that she scared multiple generations of family pets. Linda is survived by her daughter, Stacey E. Rucker of Wichita, KS, her son Scott(Cindi) Deppish of Junction, KS. Her five grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Sam. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 17th at 1st Presbyterian Church in Junction City, KS with Rev. Tim Maguffe officiating. The family requests donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the ASPCA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home and Cremation.
