Lois Elaine Drouhard, 73, of Washington, Kansas, and formerly of Canfield, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 2nd, she was a homemaker, and also worked for the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation as secretary to the payroll Vice President. Lois was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 14, 1942, the daughter of the late Roy Spencer and Florence Elizabeth (Price) Coates. Lois graduated from Canfield High School in Canfield, Ohio; received an associates degree in business administration from Youngstown University, Youngstown, Ohio. She was also a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan. On June 5, 1965 in Canfield, she was united in marriage to Ralph Richard Drouhard, who died on June 25, 2008. Lois was very active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, National Future Secretaries of America, Tau Kappa Nu Sorority. During her childhood she was very active in 4H, winning many ribbons for her art, knitting, crocheting, ribbons & bows and her canned goods Lois is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Peterson, of Wamego, Kansas; two sisters, Sally L. Case, of Athens, Tennessee; Nancy J, and Clinton Merritt, of Smyrna, Georgia; a brother, John S. and Judy Coates, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren: Jordan Peterson, Brendan Peterson, Meghann Peterson. A rosary service will be recited on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 7:00pm at the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home. On Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 am a funeral service will be held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel in Boardman, Ohio.
