Luise Frieda Dora White, 87, of Manhattan, passed away Thursday, August 30th, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. Luise Frieda Dora Siemuttis was born in Essen, Germany on April 30, 1925, the daughter of the late Jakob Siemuttis and Luise (Schroder) Siemuttis. She attended and graduated from high school in her home town. On July 21, 1952 in Kitzingen, Germany she was united in marriage to John C White Jr., and he survives her of the home. Luise was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan, a volunteer at the church and the United Methodist Women, Riley County Historical Society, the Waiting Wives at Ft. Riley, Kansas State University Alumni Association, the Army Community Services, was a Fairy Godmother and volunteered with the Ogden Friendship House Luise is also survived by her husband and a son, John C. White,III, of San Francisco. She is preceded in death by her brother, Kurt Siemuttis and a sister, Charlotte Siemuttis. Friends are invited to call on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 1-8pm with the family present from 6-8pm at the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 4th, with Reverend Melanie Martin of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery. The family request donations to First United Methodist Church 612 Poyntz or Good Shepherd Hospice House, 3801 Vanesta Dr., or the KSU Alumni Association, 1720 Alumni Center, all of Manhattan, KS.
