Donna Larson, Born in Salina KS, February 12, 1930, was the last in her immediate family to pass away, on September 3rd, 2018. Don was the youngest, then Donna, Wilma and then William. Donna always thought her parents, Lorraine and Bill Sasnett wanted twins, by the similarities in the older and younger names. Donna is survived by her twin daughters, Janelle Womack and Janette Roberts and their husbands, Greg and Brad and by her sons, Lance Larson and his wife Lili and Kirk Larson. Her 6 grandkids, Shelby, Brett, Spencer, Brock, Skylar and Riley. And her 6 great grandkids, Owen, Emma, Gavin, Rowan, Jack and Emberly. Donna led a full fun-loving life. She graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in 1952. She married Jack Larson soon after and raised a family, while Jack pursued his career. They played a lifetime of bridge with many friends. In 1979, Donna decided to pursue her career. She worked with computers in Anderson Hall, in the administrative office at Kansas State University. During Donna's free time, she moved her feet belly, hula, ballroom and square dancing with Wendell Kleiner, her partner for the next 29 years. Donna would also, pride fully glide freely, pedaling her bicycle through the streets of Manhattan, Ks., Surprise, Az., Rexburg Id., Logan Ut., Denver and Fort Collins, Co. In crazy costumes, Donna bicycled in New Belgiums, Tour de Fat parade until she was 83. Donna was all too willing to sit around the table, and teach the youngest of us to the eldest, new card games. She was always game for most any hike, bike or travels. Any chance Donna could, she'd get on stage and perform hilarious skits or sing a beautiful song. Her zest for life brought smiles to many hearts, and dear friends were made wherever she'd go. Rarely living in the past, prancing ever so lightly in the present, and creatively plotting her way forward, singing out loud wherever she may be, she showed many of us, a joyful way to live and laugh and love. Please join us, for smiles and tears on October 6th at 10:00 am, at the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan, KS, and/or lunch, for fun memories at 12:00 PM, at Janette and Brad Roberts house, at 1205 Windsong Ln. Manhattan KS. 66503.
