Mary C. Thrash

December 31, 1920 — May 3, 2017

Mary C. Thrash, 96, of Manhattan and former resident of Derby and Wichita for over 20 yrs, passed away Wednesday morning, May 3rd, at the Via Christi Village in Manhattan. Mary Huguley was born in Tuskegee, Alabama on December 31, 1920, the daughter of the late Readie Glenn and Mary Elizabeth (Carmack) Huguley. She was a nursing assistant with the Health Services of Los Angeles County at the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, CA for 16 yrs. She was of the Baptist faith and a lifetime member of the VFW Aux. Mary is survived by her daughter, Gerry Ince and husband Don of Manhattan, son, Glenn Thrash and wife Carol of Andover; a sister, Louise Wilson of Montgomery, AL; 5 grandson, 9 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and her companion Pete Flannery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, May 6, at Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will be at the Sunset Cemetery following the service. The family has requested donations be given to the Boys & Girls Club, 220 S 5th St, Manhattan.
