Maxine Ann Dutcher Maxine Ann Dutcher, 91, of Manhattan passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House. Maxine was born in Waterville, Kansas on March 1, 1925, daughter of Andrew J. and Celia Ann Winter. She graduated from the Sacred Heart Academy in Manhattan in 1943. Maxine was a lifetime member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan and was active in the church Altar Society and singing in the choir. Maxine joined the US Navy WAVES as a Pharmacist Mate 3rd Class until her discharge in 1946. Maxine was a member of the American Legion Pearce-Keller Post No. 17 where she was Past Commander and Chaplain, the Order Of Eastern Star Chapter 17, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2468 Auxiliary, all of Manhattan. She was an office assistant for Dr. Joan Marshall, Chiropractor, when she retired. Maxine is survived by Susan Giamanco, of Reno, NV; Patricia Jambor and her husband Christopher of Fort Worth, TX; Martha Havenstein and husband Ed, of Manhattan; Janie Barnhurst, of Carson City, NV; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents. On October 18, 1947 she married Malachy Braddy and together they were blessed with four daughters. He preceded her in death in 1965. In 1977, she married Trent Boyd, who passed away in 1985. In 1986, she married Henry G. Dutcher, who passed away in 1988. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: Lloyd Winter, Virgil Winter, C. V. Winter, Andrew Winter; sister, Myrna Vaughn; and grandson, James Jambor. The family will receive friends on Monday, Sept. 5 from 5-7 pm with a parish rosary service at 7:00 PM at the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home in Manhattan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday Sept. 6 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan, with Fr. Merlin Keiffer officiating. Burial will follow immediately at the Sunset Cemetery in Manhattan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manhattan Catholic Schools.
