Melvin "Mel" Felix Eisele, 74, of Dunlap, KS, passed away Wednesday, February 1st, at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. He was a long-time rancher and a jack of all trades.
Mel was born in Waupun, Wisconsin on July 21, 1948, the son of the late Earl F. and Mildred Mae (Zabel) Eisele. He attended and graduated from Waupun, WI High School, Waupun, Wisconsin. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and also in Desert Storm. Mel was a member of the Dunlap City Council.
Melvin is survived by two daughters, Amber (her wife, April) Zapata, of Manhattan; Marcella Butts, of Sheboygan Falls, WI; a son, Richard Eisele, of Fond du Lac, WI; a sister, Donna Eisele, of Waupun, WI, and grand: 11; great: 17. Mel is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Don.
A "Service of Remembrance" will be held at a later date, Memorials may be made to the donors' choice. Arrangements are with Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home and Cremation, Manhattan.
