Michael Dean Wilson

Michael Dean Wilson, 64, commonly known as 'Big Mike', passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Hampton, VA. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 8, 1952 to the parents of Boyd and Octa (Miracle) Wilson. He was a graduate of the Pontiac Central High School, attended Alpena Community College, Alpena, MI. He moved to Manhattan in 1985 and was a resident for 27 years prior to moving to Hampton, Virginia in 2013. Mike served in the U.S. Air Force as a Sgt. during the Vietnam War Era, he was a parishioner of Seven Dolors Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked for the Riley County Police Department for 27 years as Vehicle Maintenance Technician and retired Jan. 1, 2013. Mike was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Wilson; his parents, Boyd and Octa Wilson; brothers, Don Wilson, Jerry Wilson and Roger Wilson; and sister, Dorcas Greenlees. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Wilson of the home; daughter, Christie (Jim) Milliken of Farmerville, LA; step-son, Brian Ingalsbe of Manhattan; step-daughter, Kelsey Ingalsbe of Manhattan; 3 grandchildren, Cyra Hainey of Manhattan, Titania 'TJ' Hainey and Leandra Hainey of Farmerville, LA; and 3 sisters, Doris Plott of Georgia, Della Lewis of Michigan and Deloris Williams of Georgia. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Mon. Aug. 8, at Seven Dolors Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am on Tues. Aug. 9 at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Sunrise Cemetery. Friends are encouraged to visit www.irvinparkview.com to share memories and words of condolence with the family.
