Pauline “Richardson” Goodridge- Barr 88 was born January 23, 1927, the oldest child of Mose and Ethel Richardson. She transitioned from our lives April 29, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. Pauline received her education from Rosenwall High School in Queen City, TX. In 1944 she moved to Manhattan, Kansas with her parents and siblings where she became a member of Mount Zion Church of God in Christ. While residing in Manhattan, KS she met and married Leonard Goodridge, and they had five sons. She later remarried Walter Barr Senior in 1960 and to that union they had one son. Pauline was very dedicated to her children, family, and work. She retired after working 27 years as Custodial worker for Kansas State University. She loved being involved in her children’s sports activities such as, helping to coach Wrestling, Basketball and Track, as well as teaching her sons and grandchildren how to cook and sing Gospel music. She loved seeing her brothers and sisters and referred to them as her babies that she helped raised. She was loved by many and had several extended families who called her mom or grandmother. She was a teacher and educator to all of her children and she loved teaching them the lessons and values passed down to her from her parents. She was the queen of her family and was a very proud woman with strong religious morals that she instilled in all her children by introducing them to church, and forming two choirs made up of her children, grandchildren and extended grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones and friends, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace and with her Creator. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Mose and Ethel Richardson, two husbands: Leonard Goodridge and Walter Barr Sr., three sons: Leonard Goodridge Jr., Wilburt Goodridge, James Goodridge. And one brother: Clinton Richardson. Two grandchildren: Devonna Devine, Antwaan Fraizer. Pauline is survived by her sons: Lynn Goodridge, Julious Goodridge (Manhattan, Ks), and Walter Barr Jr. (Ogden Ks), Longtime Companion James Schoen.Two brothers; Leo Richardson (Pat), Mose Richardson (Janie), and five sisters; Lee Conner (Doug), May Malone (Bill), Odie Page (Arthur), Rosie Boone (Michael), and Della Geary (Ron). She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 11 great- great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews, and other loved ones.
