Rosemary Lee Aldis

March 13, 1951 — May 14, 2016

Rosemary Lee Aldis, 65, of Manhattan passed away Saturday, May 14th, at her home. She worked in the health care field for many years. She had been an employee of the former Mercy Hospital (now Via Christi) for 10 years, first serving as an LPN then an RN. In April 2007 she accepted a position on Ft. Riley at Irwin Army Community Hospital's Warrior Transition Battalion. Rosemary Lee Martin was born in Wichita, KS on March 13, 1951, the daughter of the late Ezra and Mary Ann (Cox) Martin. She was a member of College Avenue United Methodist in Manhattan; she graduated from high school in Fort Scott, KS; received her Bachelors degree from KSU in social work; an Associates Degree in nursing from MATC as a Registered Nurse working at area hospitals. Rosemary is survived by a daughter, Katie Aldis-Woods (Aaron), of Olathe; sons Scott Aldis-Wilson (Aileen), also of Olathe; Ivan Wilson; Hank Wilson (Amanda), of Manhattan; Devin Wilson, also of Manhattan; and four grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 4:00pm at the College Avenue United Methodist, 1609 College Ave in Manhattan. The family requests donations to the Manhattan Area Technical College Foundation, for nursing scholarships in Rosemary's name.
