Sharon Rae Sotkovski, 73, of Manhattan, passed away Saturday, October 19th, 2013. She was a department manager at Wal-Mart in Manhattan retiring in 2009, prior to Wal-Mart she was in food preparation at the Sigma Nu Fraternity for 25 years. Sharon was born in Longford, Kansas on October 4, 1940, the daughter of the late Loren F. Blake, Sr. and Jessie E. (Hazel) Blake. She attended and graduated from the Clay Center High School in 1958, on July 17, 1973 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico she married Joseph John Sotkovski, Jr. and he survives her of the home. Survivors include her husband Joe; three daughters, Denise D. Lundin, wife of Randy, of Wamego; Alison N Sotkovski, of Manhattan; SFC Kathryn Trant, of Afghanistan.; two sons Bobby J. Sotkovski, husband of Kathy of Ogden; Robert E. Sotkovski husband of Tonya, of Wamego; a sister, Kay Perry, of Salina. a brother, James Blake, PhD, of Louisville, KY; and 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by a son: Philip T. Palazzo; brothers: Loren F. Blake, Jr. and Leonard Blake; and a sister, Joyce Robin. A memorial graveside service will be held at at Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Manhattan, at 11:00am on Friday, October 25th, with Rev. Zack Morton officiating.
