Shirley E. Green

Shirley E Green, 84, of Manhattan, passed away Tuesday, July 24th, at Mercy Regional Health Center. She was a Realtor in Manhattan for many years. Shirley Tucker was born in Delta, Colorado on January 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Vestal L (Deffenbaugh) and Rodney H Tucker. She graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelors Degree in Economics. She was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Manhattan, a member of the Altar Society, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, loved to play bridge and watching K-State Football. Shirley is survived by two daughters, Diane Delaney, and husband Joseph Braus, of Burbank, California; Teri Hirshey, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; a sister, Beverly A. Carter, of Ft Sumner, New Mexico, a brother, Harlin W Tucker of Bowie, Maryland; and five grandchildren. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, and former husband, Bill Green . A memorial service will be held at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manhattan at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 28th. The family will receive friends from 9:30am till the time of service also at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requestscontributions be madeto Meadowlark Parkinsons Fund with Meadowlark Retirement Community or Via Christi Village.
