Tena Louise Johnson, 55, wife of James Joseph Johnson, Manhattan, passed away Sunday night August 26, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. Tena Louise was the daughter of Henry Robert and Ona Ruth Dupes of rural Saline County, she was born on Nov. 30, 1962, in Salina. On June 21, 1987, in rural Saline County, she was joined in marriage to James Johnson. She attended school at Southeast of Saline and then KSU, studying to become a teacher. She had many jobs during her life, including KSU Libraries, McDonald's, RL Polk Co (City Directories), UDS 383, Dollar General, WalMart, a volunteer at BAM (Books-A-Million, a local bookstore. Tena enjoyed reading, board games, cards, visiting families and friends. She is survived by her husband James Johnson, her siblings, Ona, Ruth, Greg, Steve, Judy, Anita Jo, Ralph, and numerous nieces and nephews. Tena wished for cremation without a funeral service, and memorials may be made in her honor to the Good Shepherd Hospice House, Manhattan.
