Thomas Andrew Berry, known to many as 'Tom', 49, of Manhattan, KS, passed away Wednesday, August 26th, at the Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. Tom was born in Kansas City , MO on September 2, 1965, the son of Mary Anne (Lewis) Berry, and the late Edgar F. Berry. Tom received his GED while in Belton, MO, served in the U.S. Army, and worked for the Burlington-Northern-Santa Fe Railroad as an Engineer out of Kansas City. Tom is survived by his mother, Mary Anne Berry, of Manhattan; a brother, Robert L. Berry, and his wife, Cindy Berry, of Athens, TX; two sisters, Judy L. Scharmann, and her husband, Larry Scharmann, of Lincoln, NE; Susan D. Fattig, of Palm Springs, CA; and his stepmother Betty Weddle, and her husband, Roger Weddle, of Lexington, MO. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Berry. The funeral service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church, 2901 Dickens Dr., Manhattan, KS, at 9:00amonMonday, August 31st, with Pastor Bill Gasser - officiating. The casket will be open at the church from, 8:30 until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Lexington Memorial Gardens, Lexington, MO at-3:00pm.
