Tracey Henry Zoeller was 49 years old, he was found dead in his Kansas City home by a friend and co-worker on Tuesday, October 11th, when he did not show up to work for the second day. It was determined by the Jackson County Medical Examiner that he was taking anti-depressant medications and took his own life probably Monday morning, October 10, 2016. He worked for over 20 years at at Walsworth Yearbooks in the Marketing Department. He designed marketing materials and conceptualized the company's web site that customers use to create their yearbooks. He also worked on the Strategy and Innovation Team as an interaction designer responsible for designing new products. Tracey was a gifted artist who created paintings, photographic art and computer graphic art, which was his passion, in order to bring stories to life through graphic art. He graduated from Monsignor Luckey High in the second to the last graduating class in 1985 and from Kansas State University with a BA degree in Fine Arts. Tracey was the youngest of 6 children born February 17,1967 in Manhattan, 18 years after his oldest sister, Mary Lynn was born. He was born and raised by Donald James (deceased 1989) and Mary M. (Owens) Zoeller of Manhattan. He is survived by his mother Mary Martha and his 5 older siblings, Mary Lynn of Austin Texas, David of Manhattan, Sharon of Manhattan, Karen Tibbitts of Junction City, and Becky Mosier of Manhattan. He was also survived by numerous numbers of nephews and nieces. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Tracey's honor by Father Kerry Ninemire at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, at 7th and Pierre, on October 22nd, 2016 at 10:30am. Tracey was cremated in Kansas City and his ashes will be buried in the Flint Hills at the St. Patrick's Cemetery-Elbo Community on Excel Road with family and friends following the luncheon. There will be a luncheon served by the Catholic Women of Seven Dolors Catholic Church after the funeral mass. Some of the art that Tracey created, in his short time with us, will be on display during the luncheon for all to enjoy with the family.
