Willie James Larry

Willie James Larry, age 66, of Manhattan, KS, passed away on November 22, 2023 from heart failure.

Willie was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 6, 1956; he's the son of Bobbi Neugent. Willie grew up in Manhattan, KS and attended the local schools

Upon completing high school, he chose a career in truck driving. However, he was employed with a variety of other industries during his lifespan.

Willie had a passion for nature and the environment because of the fun activities that he encountered. He loved fishing, hunting, and observing nature. One of his hobbies included motorcycle riding. He was a member of the city’s motorcycle club.

Survivors include his mother, Bobbi Neugent of Manhattan, KS, one daughter; Tira Allday, brothers; Earnest Larry Jr. of Manhattan, Vernon Larry of Los Angeles, California, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Carlson’s-Irvin Parkview Funeral Home at 1317 Poyntz Ave.,Manhattan, KS 66502.

A Graveside service will be held at Sunrise Cemetery at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 - with reverend Anthony Whetstone officiating.

Family and friends are invited to join the family (following the service) for a “re-past,” at Douglas Activity Center; 925 Yuma St., Manhattan, KS.
