Zamari Vance, 2 years, 4 months , 14 days old passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Good Shepherd Hospice House after a battle with cancer. Zamari was born on June 9, 2009 at Fort Riley, the son of Brandice J. Bishop and Zarian J. Vance. Zamari attended Morris Hill Chapel with his family. At the age of 7 months he was dedicated to Christ. He always loved music and singing at church. When he was 10 month old he began to play the drums and played his heart out. His drums and toy keyboard were some of his favorite toys. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Rita Vance Sharp and his paternal grandfather, Eric Rowe; his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Barbara Bishop; two sisters, Da'Niyah Bishop and Llonieese Wilson; four aunts, LaShawn Bishop, Rica Weaver, Frantoria Welch and Stephenie Vance; and two uncles, Jerry Bishop, Jr. and Barry Pugh; and many great aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Morris Hill Chapel, Ft. Riley with Minister Larry Bishop and Chaplin Major Daniel Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery of Fort Riley, Manhattan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in the name of Zamari Vance and left in care of the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home, 1317 Poyntz Ave., Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
